Arsenal reportedly still have hope of signing Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, after the his move to AC Milan fell through due to a disagreement over personal terms.

Arsenal have reportedly been handed hope in their pursuit of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It was reported on Sunday that despite AC Milan and the French outfit agreeing a deal for the 24-year-old, the transfer fell through later on that day, meaning that Sanches remains available this January.

The Portugal international helped Lille to the Ligue 1 title last season, and has continued to impress during this campaign, lifting the French Super Cup at the beginning of this term.

According to The Mirror, the Rossoneri offered a fee in the region of £25m plus add-ons for Sanches, suggesting that Arsenal will also need to launch a bid similar to that figure.

The Gunners will have to reach the midfielder's wage demands, which is believed to be the key aspect as to why he could not agree personal terms with AC Milan.

Sanches has admitted that he feels it is the right time to move on from Lille, having made 79 appearances since arriving at the club in 2019.
