Arsenal have reportedly had an offer to take Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic on loan rejected by the Serie A club.
Perisic has just three goals and five assists in 25 games this season and was an unused substitute in Inter's match against Torino at the weekend.
According to Sky in Italy, the Gunners enquired about loaning the Croatian for the remainder of the season, but this was turned down as manager Luciano Spalletti wants a permanent deal.
The report adds that Arsenal's proposal included a £4.4m loan fee and an option to buy for £34.5m.
Inter Milan currently sit third in the Serie A table, while Arsenal are outside of the Champions League spots in fifth place in the Premier League.
