Arsenal are reportedly monitoring developments surrounding Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak.
The 21-year-old was called up to the Sweden squad for Euro 2020 and impressed in his country's opener with Spain on Monday, despite failing to score as the game ended 0-0.
Isak also enjoyed a stellar campaign with Real Sociedad in the 2020-21 La Liga season, scoring 17 goals in 34 appearances, and his performances have understandably attracted interest from other top European clubs.
According to The Athletic, Isak has emerged as a target for the Gunners as they eye attacking reinforcements, but the club have already been dealt more than one blow in their pursuit of the forward.
The Sweden international has affirmed that he plans to remain at Real Sociedad for the time being, and his former club Borussia Dortmund supposedly inserted a €30m (£25.8m) buyback clause into his deal when he left the Bundesliga for Spain in 2019.
Isak's deal with Sociedad does not expire until the summer of 2024, and he has scored 33 goals in 89 appearances for the club in total.
