La Liga giants Barcelona reportedly turn down the chance to sign Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Barcelona have reportedly turned down the chance to sign Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin next season.

The 27-year-old is currently on loan with Copa de Rey winners Real Betis, where he has made 31 appearances across all competitions.

Arsenal allegedly have no plans to integrate Bellerin into their first-team squad next season and will look to sell the defender this summer, with Betis keen to recruit him on a permanent deal.

According to journalist Helena Condis Edo, Bellerin has been offered to Barcelona ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, but the La Liga giants currently have no interest in recruiting the full-back.

The report adds that Barca did express their interest in signing the Spaniard last summer when former technical secretary Ramon Planes was at the club, but they now have their eyes set on other targets.

Bellerin, who was born in Catalonia, began his youth career with Barcelona and spent eight years with the club's academy before joining Arsenal as a 16-year-old in 2011.
