Dayot Upamecano 'pushing for Real Madrid move'

RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano wants to join Real Madrid this summer, according to a report.

RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano is reportedly determined to secure a move to Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.

The 21-year-old has allegedly been identified by Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane as the ideal signing ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona have all been linked with the Frenchman, who is believed to have a £55m release clause in his current deal.

However, according to AS, Upamecano, who shares an agent with Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, is pushing for move to the Bernabeu this summer.

The centre-back's arrival could open the door for Eder Militao to leave, with Zidane reportedly 'unimpressed' by the Brazilian's performances since arriving from Porto.

Upamecano has made 29 appearances for his Bundesliga club during the 2019-20 campaign.
