Newcastle United striker Demba Ba has reportedly agreed to join Arsenal during the first week of the January transfer window.
Speculation regarding the Senegal international's future with Newcastle has intensified over the past few months following revelations that his contract contains a clause that would allow potential suitors to buy him for £7.5m.
The Gunners have long been considered one of the favourites to sign the 27-year-old and following a series of discussions, the two parties have reached an agreement, according to Canal+.
Ba has scored 11 goals so far this season, taking his Newcastle tally to 27 over the last 18 months.
