Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been reportedly advised by close friends to ignore interest from Arsenal and wait for a better job.
The Argentine was relieved from his duties at Spurs last week following a poor run of results that left the North London club sitting 14th in the Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly identified Pochettino as a 'credible' option to become the club's next manager following the sacking of Unai Emery on Friday.
According to The Telegraph, those within the 47-year-old's circle have discouraged him from jumping straight back into management amid interest from Arsenal.
The former Spurs boss, who spent five years at the club, is expected to take a break from management until the summer.
Pochettino has reportedly attracted interest from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester United over the past year.
