Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil could remain at the Emirates Stadium until next summer before leaving on a free, according to a report.

Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil is reportedly considering remaining at the Emirates Stadium until next June.

The 32-year-old has not played a single minute of first-team football for the Gunners since March and was not included in the club's Premier League squad at the start of the 2020-21 campaign.

Ozil's contract with Mikel Arteta's side is due to run until next summer, although there have been suggestions that he could join Fenerbahce during the January transfer window.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Fenerbahce are the favourites to sign him, but the former Germany international could decide to see out the remainder of his contract before leaving on a free transfer.

A recent report claimed that Ozil had held secret talks with the Turkish giants over a potential switch.

The experienced attacker recently revealed that he 'wishes' he had the opportunity to help the Gunners, but a return to the fold under Arteta appears unlikely.
