Real Madrid want Arsenal's William Saliba?

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is allegedly keen to sign William Saliba, despite the Saint-Etienne youngster having already agreed to join Arsenal next summer.

Real Madrid have reportedly identified Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba as a future signing.

Having already established himself in the first team at the Ligue 1 outfit, the teenager has agreed to join Arsenal ahead of the start of the next campaign.

However, according to Central Defense, that has not stopped Zinedine Zidane from developing an interest in his French compatriot.

The report claims that the boss of the La Liga giants has told club officials that he would like to bring the 18-year-old to the Bernabeu.

While there is no prospect of that occurring in the summer, it appears that Los Blancos will have scouts present when Saliba represents the Gunners in the Premier League.

Newly-appointed manager Claude Puel recently criticised Saint-Etienne for opting to cash in on Saliba.
