A report claims that Premier League champions Liverpool are in the running to sign Nigeria international Victor Osimhen from Lille.

Premier League champions Liverpool are pushing to sign in-demand Lille forward Victor Osimhen, according to a report.

The Reds lifted the title on Wednesday following a dramatic 5-3 win over Chelsea and have already turned focus to next season.

Italian outlet RAI Sport claims that one of the players on the radar of Liverpool's hierarchy is Nigeria international Osimhen, who scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 games in 2019-20.

The 21-year-old has been in talks with Napoli over an estimated £80m move, but the report indicates that Liverpool CEO Peter Moore is closely monitoring the situation.

Osimhen, who has only been at Lille for one season, is also a rumoured target for Arsenal and Chelsea.
