Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac is reportedly closing in on a move to Fenerbahce, where he will reunite with close friend Mesut Ozil.

Fenerbahce are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Arsenal outcast Sead Kolasinac.

The former Schalke 04 man was already behind Kieran Tierney in the left-back pecking order and is now Mikel Arteta's third-choice in that position following the arrival of Nuno Tavares.

As a result, Kolasinac is one of several Arsenal players expected to head for the exit door this month, and Serie A giants Lazio have been credited with an interest in his services.

Now, journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu claims that Kolasinac's transfer to Fenerbahce is on the verge of completion, and the 28-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Super Lig outfit.

Kolasinac's anticipated move to Fenerbahce would see him reunite with good friend Mesut Ozil, whose Arsenal deal was terminated in January after he was also frozen out of the team by Arteta.

The defender made 18 appearances in all competitions during a six-month loan spell back at Schalke last season and prepares to leave Arsenal having scored five goals and set up 15 more in 113 appearances since 2017.
