Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in the signing of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah during the January transfer window, although the Gunners are not keen on selling the player.
The 24-year-old has featured in 19 Premier League matches for Mikel Arteta's men this term - albeit only starting 10 of those - with the North Londoners competing for the Premier League title against the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Palace's interest in Nketiah is "genuine", with Roy Hodgson's men looking to complete a deal this month ahead of the second half of the campaign.
Although the Eagles will push hard for the Englishman's signature this month, it is claimed that Arsenal will not allow the forward to leave unless a replacement is brought to the Emirates Stadium.
Palace are not placing all of their eggs in the Nketiah basket, though, as they are keen on Paris Saint-Germain's Hugo Ekitike and Nordsjaelland's Ibrahim Osman, who is also attracting interest from Brighton & Hove Albion.
It was reported last week that Arsenal had turned down an initial approach from Crystal Palace for the former Leeds United loanee, however speculation surrounding the striker's future remains.

Moving from the capital to the South coast, Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly has allegedly attracted concrete interest from Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan.
Before sustaining a hamstring injury at the start of December, the centre-back was a key figure for the Cherries during their upturn in form under Andoni Iraola, starting nine Premier League matches.
With Kelly having entered the final six months of his current deal at the Vitality Stadium, he is free to talk to foreign clubs about a summer switch, and according to reporter Dharmesh Sheth, both Juve and AC Milan are keen on the 25-year-old.
It is also believed that Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham Hotspur are keeping an eye on the situation after initially registering their interest in the ex-Bristol City man during the summer.
Another player who could be leaving Bournemouth in 2024 is target man Kieffer Moore, who the Cherries are reportedly prepared to offload this month as stated by The Sun.
The towering forward has been linked with a move back to Cardiff City as they look to push for the top six in the Championship under Erol Bulut, who has openly expressed his desire to bring the Wales international into the Bluebirds squad.

The report also claims that top-two chasing Leeds United are aware of Moore's situation on the South coast, with the 31-year-old playing second fiddle to Dominic Solanke.
Middlesbrough are understood to have taken an interest in the 39-time international, alongside the likes of West Bromwich Albion and managerless Birmingham City.
Moore has started just the single game for Irola in 2023-24 - the Cherries' second-round EFL Cup tie against Swansea City in August during which the attacker was substituted after 45 minutes.
Finally, Everton are said to be prepared to offload midfielder Andre Gomes this month, with the Portuguese's wages becoming a burden on the Merseyside club.
The former Barcelona man recently returned from a long-term injury to net a consolation during the Toffees' 2-1 defeat at Tottenham on December 23 and also started the defeat to Manchester City four days' later.
According to FootballTransfers, Gomes will be allowed to leave Everton in January as his £120,000-per-week wages continue to damage the club financially, with the midfielder having admirers in the Saudi Pro League and at Primeira Liga outfit Benfica.
