Arsenal are reportedly hopeful of signing long-time transfer target Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in a cut-price deal in 2025.

Arsenal are reportedly hopeful that they could sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in a cut-price transfer in 2025.

The Gunners have been long-term admirers of the Serbia international, who has entered the final two years of his Juventus deal.

Vlahovic is understood to be in discussions with Juventus over a new contract to extend his stay beyond the summer of 2026.

However, the two parties are yet to reach an agreement and there appear to be no immediate signs that a new deal will be agreed in the near future.

Arsenal eyeing cut-price Vlahovic transfer

With Juventus struggling to make progress in contract talks, they could be forced to entertain offers for the striker in 2025.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are optimistic that they can strike a deal cut-price deal to sign the Juventus marksman.

The report claims that Vlahovic's contract situation could force Juventus to sell Vlahovic for €60m (£50m) or less next summer.

Such a figure would represent a loss on the €83.5m deal that Juventus agreed to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January 2022.

Arsenal are now expected to keep a close eye on the player's contract situation as they continue to weigh up potential forward targets.

Why are Arsenal keen to sign a new striker?

In addition to Vlahovic, Arsenal are also said to be interested in the likes of Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres and Newcastle United's Alexander Isak.

They have also been linked with RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, although the Slovenia international recently revealed that he was "happy" at the Red Bull Arena.

The Gunners are ultimately keen to strengthen their forward line despite the fact that Kai Havertz has established himself as Mikel Arteta's first-choice forward.

However, Gabriel Jesus is the only natural alternative to Havertz after the club sold Eddie Nketiah to Crystal Palace in the summer.

As a result, the centre-forward position lacks the ideal strength-in-depth to cope with the demands of a busy season.
