Arsene Wenger: 'Jack Wilshere will be ready for England'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals that Jack Wilshere will be ready for England's World Cup campaign as he steps up his recovery from a foot injury.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident that Jack Wilshere will be ready for England's World Cup campaign in the summer and could return for the end of the Premier League season.

The 22-year-old has been out of action for the past six weeks with a foot injury he sustained in the Three Lions' victory over Denmark, but is now on the comeback trail.

Wenger told The Mirror: "Jack started jogging last week. I would think he could be back in two or three weeks. He could be back for the end of the season for us.

"I spoke to Roy Hodgson and I told him that Wilshere will be available for England. He will be polished. I think he will go."

Wilshere has played in 23 Premier League games for the Gunners this season, scoring three goals in the process.
