Jack Wilshere "gutted" with England exit

Midfielder Jack Wilshere admits that he is "gutted" with England's early exit from the World Cup finals in Brazil.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has taken to Twitter to apologise for England's early exit from the World Cup.

England have been eliminated from the tournament after back-to-back defeats to Italy and Uruguay, and Wilshere, who came on as a second-half substitute in the opening game, has admitted that he is "gutted" that the national team haven't made the knockout stages.

The 22-year-old could start in England's final group game against Costa Rica on Tuesday.
