Team News: Ron Vlaar returns for Aston Villa

Aston Villa recall Ron Vlaar and start with January signing Yacouba Sylla at Reading this afternoon.

Reading manager Brian McDermott has decided to stick with top scorer Adam Le Fondre for this afternoon's crunch relegation clash with Aston Villa.

Le Fondre continues in attack alongside Noel Hunt after the pair started together in a 3-1 defeat at Everton last week.

Hal Robson-Kanu comes in for the injured Jimmy Kebe, while Stuart Taylor continues to deputise for Adam Federici in goal.

Villa are able to recall captain Ron Vlaar to the starting XI after he successfully passed a fitness test on a calf problem.

Vlaar replaces Joe Bennett to marshal Villa in central defence, while Charles N'Zogbia drops to the bench for Barry Banna.

January signing Yacouba Sylla also gets a chance in central midfield in place of the suspended Fabian Delph.

Reading: Taylor, Kelly, Harte, Pearce, Mariappa, Leigertwood, Akpan, Robson-Kanu, McAnuff, Le Fondre, Hunt

Villa: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Baker, Westwood, Bannan, Sylla, Agbonlahor, Weimann, Benteke
