Diego Simeone allays Diego Costa injury fears

Diego Simeone suggests that the injury picked up by Diego Costa in today's 2-0 win at Getafe is not too serious.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has labelled his striker Diego Costa a "tiger" and allayed fears about the injury picked up by the Spaniard in his side's 2-0 victory over Getafe this afternoon.

Costa collided with the post while scoring Atleti's second goal of the game and was then stretchered off the pitch.

However, Simeone has hinted that his injury may not be as bad as first feared.

"Diego is well and he is fine," he told reporters. "One more cut won't do anything to this tiger."

The win ensures Atleti are three points clear at the top of La Liga with five games remaining.
