How Barcelona could line up against PSV Eindhoven

Sports Mole predicts how Barcelona will line up for their Champions League group-stage clash against PSV Eindhoven.

Barcelona welcome Dutch side PSV Eindhoven to Camp Nou on Tuesday evening for their opening Champions League Group B match.

The Catalan giants have disappointed on the continent since winning the competition in 2015, having exited at the quarter-final stage three years running.

First up for Barca this time around is PSV, who claimed their 24 Eredivisie title last season and head into the match on the back of seven successive wins.

Ahead of their midweek showdown, Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up.

Doubtful: Denis Suarez, Sergi Samper, Malcom

Ernesto Valverde left Sergio Busquets and Philippe Coutinho out of his starting lineup at the weekend, and that decision almost backfired as the Spanish champions had to battle back from a goal down in their 2-1 win over Real Sociedad.

Both midfield men are expected to return on Tuesday, meaning a Champions League debut in Barca colours for Coutinho, while Sergi Roberto is in line to take over from Nelson Semedo at right-back.

The front three currently picks itself, meanwhile, with Ousmane Dembele, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi scoring 11 goals between them already this season.

In goal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen - described as the 'best goalkeeper in the world' by one of his teammates at the weekend - is expected to hold off competition from Jasper Cillessen.
