Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has praised the club's supporters after booking a spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Their place in the final four of the competition was confirmed on Wednesday night thanks to a 1-0 win over Barcelona in the Spanish capital, and Simeone was quick pay tribute to the home fans for the part they played.
"The atmosphere was amazing," the Argentine told reporters. "It didn't affect Barca because they are used to those atmospheres, but it did influence our players.
"It gave us great positive energy."
Atletico will find out who they face in the next round on Friday.
