Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has admitted that he was playing through the pain barrier earlier this season.
The 30-year-old has only scored six times in 18 appearances for Barca this term, and is yet to register in five Champions League matches during the 2017-18 campaign.
Suarez has been battling to overcome a troublesome knee injury, however, with the Uruguay international revealing that the problem harmed his performances in the early weeks of the season.
"Yes, but now I feel better. It required some complicated treatment and now I'm improving. I don't want to continue feeling that pain, I must prevent it from coming back again," Marca quotes Suarez as saying.
Suarez managed 59 goals in 53 appearances during his second season at Barcelona, while he also struck 37 goals in 51 matches last term alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar in the final third of the field.
