Barcelona have confirmed that Andres Iniesta picked up a calf problem in Saturday's La Liga clash with Celta Vigo.
The midfielder was replaced early in the second half of the 2-2 draw at Camp Nou.
The Catalan giants have revealed that Iniesta suffered a calf injury, and will therefore miss Tuesday's Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon.
However, the 33-year-old is expected to return to action for next weekend's La Liga clash with Villarreal, where Barcelona will attempt to bounce back from successive league draws.
Iniesta has scored once and provided one assist in 16 appearances for Barcelona this season.
