Lionel Messi's father has described any notion of his son ever leaving Barcelona as "unthinkable".
The Argentine international's current contract at the Nou Camp is due to expire in the summer of 2016.
However, Jorge Messi believes that the 25-year-old will stay with the Spanish club beyond that date.
"I cannot imagine that he will ever leave the club, that's simply unthinkable," Messi senior told Cadena Cope. "He is feeling very well here and he has always insisted that he wants to remain at Barca."
Messi joined Barca's youth system in 2000.
