Gabi reveals delight at La Liga win

Gabi praises his Atletico Madrid teammates following their La Liga success.

Gabi has revealed that it is "a privilege to be a part" of the Atletico Madrid team that secured the La Liga title with a 1-1 draw against Barcelona on Saturday.

Atletico's point at the Camp Nou was enough to claim their first league crown since 1996 and club captain Gabi has revealed his delight at the success.

"Today this team deserved to win the title. We kept going and we always believed in ourselves," he told GOL TV.

"The game became an uphill struggle, but we believed in the team and the draw is very much deserved.

"It's a privilege to be a part of this team. Showing the capability to fight with the giants of Spanish football is beautiful. Now of course, we'll celebrate this and then from Monday, go for the Champions League title."

Diego Godin's second-half header cancelled out an Alexis Sanchez strike in Barcelona.
