Juanmi delighted with Barcelona winner

Malaga forward Juanmi reveals his delight after netting the only goal of the match in Saturday's La Liga match at Barcelona.

Malaga forward Juanmi has described his winner at Barcelona on Saturday as "a monumental goal".

The 21-year-old scored the only goal of the match at the Camp Nou as Malaga won at Barcelona for the first time in the league since November 1999.

"When you score so early in a game it gives you confidence and it psyches you up to think you'll have a good game. We knew there were a lot more minutes left to play in the game, but the team responded well and we managed to reach the end with the three points," he told Diario SUR.

"It was a monumental goal, but it all came through the efforts of the team. It's true that our winning there is very important in terms of La Liga, but all we're focusing on is our own trajectory, so this win was crucial for us. The great work we did gained the reward of three points."

Before Saturday's match, Malaga had lost their last 12 league games away at Barcelona.
