Barcelona sporting director Pep Segura has insisted that Malcom is progressing well at Camp Nou despite his lack of minutes since arriving in Spain.
Malcom, 21, joined Barcelona from Bordeaux during the summer transfer window.
The attacker is yet to start for the Catalan giants, and has made just two substitute appearances for Ernesto Valverde's team.
Segura, however, has said that "there is no problem with Malcom", and has backed the attacker to become an important player for the Spanish champions in the coming years.
"There is no problem with Malcom," Segura told Diario Sport. "He was added to the squad because he is young and because he has a lot of talent, this is a long season, so a lack of minutes right now is not an issue."
Malcom scored 12 times in 38 appearances for Bordeaux during the 2017-18 campaign.
