Carles Puyol attempts to play down Barcelona's chance of winning the treble this season.

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has conceded that it will be "difficult" for his side to win the treble this season.

The Catalan outfit currently lead La Liga by 12 points and remain in the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

Despite admitting that the team are prepared to "fight" on all three fronts, 34-year-old Puyol has said that it will take a large effort from them to win through in every competition.

"It will be difficult but we'll fight to win the treble. We have to take it a match at a time," he told reporters.

During his time with the club, Puyol has won 19 major honours.
