Ronaldinho: "Neymar is a phenomenon"

Barcelona attacker Neymar has the necessary tools to become the best player in world football, according to Brazil legend Ronaldinho.

Former Barcelona attacker Ronaldinho has claimed that his fellow Brazilian Neymar has the credentials to become the best player in world football.

Neymar, 23, has been in excellent form for his Spanish club this season, scoring 13 times in 14 appearances in the new campaign.

Ronaldinho, who represented Barcelona between 2003 and 2008, has also branded the current Brazil captain "a great friend".

"Neymar is a phenomenon. He is the best Brazilian player in the world at the moment - it's great to see him continue everything we have done before," Ronaldinho told Barcelona's official website.

"Its nice to see a Brazilian continuing to make history. I think he can [be the greatest in the world]. He's a great player, a great friend and I hope everything goes well for him."

Neymar joined Barcelona from Santos in the summer of 2013.
