How Barcelona could line up against Huesca

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in this weekend's La Liga clash with Huesca.

Barcelona will be looking to continue their charge towards the La Liga title when they travel to basement side Huesca on Saturday afternoon.

Barca beat second-placed Atletico Madrid last weekend to open up an 11-point lead at the summit, while Huesca sit bottom of the table, six points behind 17th-placed Real Valladolid.

An own goal from Luke Shaw saw Barca record a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The return match at Camp Nou will take place next week and therefore head coach Ernesto Valverde is expected to make a number of changes to his starting XI this weekend.

With that in mind, Sports Mole takes a look at the team that could start for the Spanish champions.

POSS BAR XI vs. HUE

Out: Rafinha (knee), Thomas Vermaelen (thigh), Luis Suarez (suspension), Gerard Pique (suspension)
Doubtful: Lionel Messi (bruised nose)

Lionel Messi picked up a bloodied nose in a challenge with Chris Smalling on Wednesday night and it seems likely that the Argentine will be rested this weekend.

Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique are both suspended, meanwhile, meaning that the XI will have a very different look to the one that has lined up in the team's last two matches.

Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic are also being tipped to be rested, with Arturo Vidal and Carles Alena - substitutes against Man United - expected to feature in the starting side.

Ousmane Dembele could also play a part - potentially through the middle - having returned from a hamstring problem, but Thomas Vermaelen and Rafinha remain absentees with knee and thigh problems respectively.

Samuel Umtiti, meanwhile, could feature alongside Clement Lenglet in central defence, while Malcom is expected to be handed a position in the final third of the field.
