Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester United.

Barcelona are looking to avoid a fourth consecutive Champions League quarter-final exit when they take on Manchester United in the last eight of this season's competition.

The Spanish giants travel to Old Trafford for Wednesday's first leg looking to end a three-match losing and goalless streak in away games at this stage of the Champions League.

However, they are a team in good form after Saturday's 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid took them to the brink of another La Liga title, and the treble remains a realistic goal for Ernesto Valverde's men.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's blockbuster showdown.

BARCELONA'S INJURY LIST

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 10 (vs. Manchester United)

Ousmane Dembele has been sidelined since the last-16 win over Lyon due to a hamstring problem, but he is expected to be in contention for Wednesday's match. Valverde must decide whether to include him from the start or ease him back into things after almost a month out.

Rafinha

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Rafinha tore his cruciate ligament back in November and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Thomas Vermaelen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Thomas Vermaelen's Barcelona career has been blighted by injuries, and the latest is a hamstring problem which kept him out at the weekend and will also see him miss this game. The exact severity of the injury is not yet known, though.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for this match, but Nelson Semedo is just one booking away from a ban.
