Juventus-bound Arthur to stay with Barcelona until after Champions League?

A report claims that Arthur has assured Barcelona he will not leave the club until the elongated 2019-20 season concludes, despite already agreeing to join Juventus.

Barcelona midfielder Arthur has reportedly agreed to see out the rest of the season at Camp Nou before officially joining Juventus.

The Brazil international is set to join Juve as part of a swap deal with Miralem Pjanic after completing a medical last week.

According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, however, Arthur has guaranteed Barca that he is committed to seeing out the rest of 2019-20 with the club.

That will mean the Catalan giants are able to select the 23-year-old for the remainder of their La Liga and Champions League campaigns, with the latter not scheduled to conclude until the end of August.

Arthur has been selected as part of Barca's 23-man squad for Tuesday's league clash with Atletico Madrid.

Quique Setien's side trail leaders Real Madrid by two points following their 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo at the weekend.
