Leganes 'will not be able to bring in replacement for Martin Braithwaite'

Leganes will be unable to bring in a replacement for Martin Braithwaite, with the Danish international being linked with a move to Barcelona as an emergency signing.

Leganes will reportedly not be able to sign a replacement for striker Martin Braithwaite should he leave as an emergency signing for Barcelona.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a £17m move to Camp Nou following the news that Barca were granted permission by La Liga to sign an emergency replacement following long-term injuries to Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.

However, according to Spanish outlet Sport, Leganes will be unable to replace the Danish international if he was to join Quique Setien's side.

Braithwaite has scored six goals in 24 league appearances for Leganes this season, who find themselves down in 19th in the La Liga table.

Formerly of Middlesbrough, Braithwaite scored nine goals in 40 appearances for the Championship outfit, and has also netted seven times for the Danish national side.
