Report: Barcelona no longer in midfield market

A report claims that Barcelona will not sign another midfielder this summer.

Barcelona are not expected to sign another midfielder this summer, despite reports linking the club with Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos and Juventus' Arturo Vidal.

Barca have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the addition of Ivan Rakitic from Sevilla, but Atletico Madrid's Koke was also a reported target.

Atletico's reluctance to sell Koke has ended Barca's interest, however, and according to Mundo Deportivo, the Camp Nou outfit are no longer actively pursuing midfield targets.

The Catalan side are expected to strengthen their defence this summer with at least two new additions.
