Report: Xavi agrees three-year deal with Qatari club Al Sadd

Barcelona star Xavi reportedly agrees a three-year deal with Qatari club Al Sadd.

Barcelona playmaker Xavi has reportedly agreed to join Qatari club Al Sadd on a three-year contract in the summer.

The 35-year-old's future has been a talking point, with some reports claiming that he could join Frank Lampard and David Villa at MLS side New York City FC.

However, according to AS, the experienced midfielder has agreed a deal with Al Sadd, which includes a salary of €10m (£7.3m).

Reports have claimed that Xavi, who has won every club trophy possible with Barcelona, will study for his coaching badges at Al Sadd's Aspire Academy.

Xavi has 133 international caps for Spain under his belt.
