Thiago Silva agent denies Barcelona talk

Thiago Silva will not be leaving Paris Saint-Germain for Barcelona during the summer, according to the player's agent.

Defender Thiago Silva will remain at Paris Saint-Germain next season, according to the player's agent.

It has been reported that Barcelona could be ready to make a move for Silva, but the Brazilian international's representative has insisted that the 28-year-old will remain in France.

Paulo Tonietto told L'Equipe: "Silva's future? It is at PSG, there is nothing more to say. He signed a contract one year ago, so it is out of the question that he will leave.

"Interest from Barca? What interest? Have you seen a proposition from Barca? I haven't, neither has Thiago nor PSG.

"If PSG were to sell there would be a lot of clubs interested. But to me it would be a huge surprise. His future is at PSG."

The former AC Milan helped PSG to their league title in 19 years during his first season at the club.
