Barnsley have announced that they have appointed Poya Asbaghi as their new head coach.
Earlier this month, the Tykes ended Markus Schopp's stint after just 16 matches, the Austrian winning just one of his games since arriving at Oakwell in the summer.
The Barnsley hierarchy have used the international break to find a permanent successor, making the decision to bring in Sweden Under-21s coach Asbaghi.
As well as making a positive impression in that role, the 36-year-old has also previously won the Swedish Cup with IFK Goteborg.
Barnsley initially became admirers of Asbaghi in 2019, but he made the decision to remain in Sweden.
Interim boss Joseph Laumann will remain in charge for Saturday's Championship fixture with Fulham before Asbaghi officially starts work next week.
