Bayern Munich have reportedly made contact with Ajax manager Erik ten Hag after parting ways with Niko Kovac over the weekend.
The former Bayern midfielder was relieved of his duties on Sunday night following the club's 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend.
Ten Hag, meanwhile, has presided over impressive success in Amsterdam, guiding his team to a domestic double along with coming seconds away from the Champions League final last season.
According to Sky Sports News, the Bundesliga champions made contact with Ten Hag on Monday to discuss the vacant role.
However, it is believed that Ten Hag will not be available for hire under any circumstances until the end of the 2019-20 season.
Reports have claimed that Ralf Rangnick and Arsene Wenger are also among the candidates for the job.
