Karl-Heinz Rummenigge calm over potential Pep Guardiola exit

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claims that he is not worried about Pep Guardiola leaving next summer.

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has insisted that the club would be able to cope if Pep Guardiola chose to leave at the end of the season.

Guardiola has just one year remaining on his current deal with the German champions and has previously been linked with a move to Manchester City, but Rummenigge claims that the club officials are not panicking about the situation.

"We're very happy with Pep, who's doing a good job. He's a good representative," he told reporters.

"I'm relatively relaxed. If he wants to stay on that's wonderful, but if he doesn't it won't be the end of the world. In that case we'll think of something new."

Guardiola has won the Bundesliga title in each of his first two seasons with Bayern, but he watched his side exit the semi-finals of the Champions League against Barcelona in May.
