Benfica defender Nelson Semedo has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United.
The 20-time English champions are believed to still be in the market for a new right-back, despite Antonio Valencia impressing under Jose Mourinho in the opening months of the 2016-17 campaign.
Matteo Darmian's expected departure could force Mourinho's hand in January, and the likes of AS Monaco's Fabinho and Everton's Seamus Coleman have both linked with switches to Old Trafford.
However, according to O Jogo, Man United's attention has now switched to Semedo, who the Premier League club scouted during Benfica's 2-0 victory over Belenenses in the top flight of Portuguese football at the weekend.
Semedo, 22, joined Benfica from local side Sintrense in 2012. The Portugal international has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season.
