Team News: Charlton Athletic leave out Tal Ben Haim

Charlton Athletic give Tal Ben Haim permission to miss their Championship clash with Birmingham City.

Charlton Athletic will be missing Tal Ben Haim from their backline for the visit of Birmingham City this afternoon after the Israeli international was allowed to observe the Jewish holy day Yom Kippur.

Fellow defender Joe Gomez is also left out after picking up an ankle knock in the Addicks' 1-0 win at table-topping Norwich City in midweek, with Chris Solly starting at right-back.

Manager Bob Peeters must do without also Johann Berg Gudmundsson (ankle) and Jonathan Spector (thigh).

Meanwhile, City boss Lee Clark has his own injury worries to contend with as both Matt Smith and Gavin Gunning are long-term absentees.

However, the Blues name an unchanged starting lineup after ending a barren run with victory in midweek.

Birmingham's 3-1 win at Millwall on Tuesday was their first triumph in nine games in all competitions.

Charlton Athletic: Henderson, Solly, Wiggins, Morrison, Bikey, Wilson, Buyens, Jackson, Cousins, Bulot, Vetokele

Birmingham City: Randolph, Caddis, Edgar, Robinson, Grounds, Davis, Reilly, Cotterill, Gleeson, Arthur, Donaldson
