Jordan Rhodes eyeing century of goals for Blackburn Rovers

Jordan Rhodes admits that reaching the 100-goal mark at Blackburn Rovers, which he narrowly missed out on at former side Huddersfield Town, would be a "nice" achievement.

Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes has admitted that reaching a century of goals for the club is a milestone firmly in his sight.

The Scotland international has found the net eight times already this season to take his overall tally up to 82 goals in 156 appearances for Rovers.

Having fallen just short of the impressive 100 mark during his time at Huddersfield Town, Rhodes is now hoping to go one better during the remainder of his Ewood Park stay.

"100 would be a nice total," he is quoted as saying by the Lancashire Telegraph. "I don't know the stats so I don't know how many people are in that exclusive club but it would be nice to be part of it.

"It's something I left Huddersfield a little bit short of - I think I got to 87 - so it would be nice to be part of a 100-club.

"Credit has to go to my teammates and the staff as without their help - with their assists on the field, and knowledge, training and working with me off it - none of it would be possible."

Rhodes is in line to feature on Saturday against Brentford, where he spent some time on loan in the second half of the 2008-09 season.
