Kenny Jackett: 'Down to players to earn backing from home fans'

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett targets three home points against Burnley at the weekend in order to get supporters fully back on his side.

Kenny Jackett has admitted that it is down to his Wolverhampton Wanderers players to win back the full support of the club's fanbase.

Wolves have picked up just three points from the last 15 on offer, courtesy of a 2-0 win away at Birmingham City last weekend.

Following back-to-back games on the road, including a disappointing 1-0 loss at strugglers Bristol City last time out, Jackett is now looking forward to returning to home soil against Burnley this weekend.

"We've just had two away games and we've won one and lost one," he told Wanderers' official website. "Obviously that's compounded by losing three games on the trot before those games, but for us we are looking forward to getting back to Molineux and hopefully that can help us.

"It is up to us to really earn again the crowds backing, because if you play good football you generate a positive home attitude and if we can do that through the terraces there it will spur the players on."

Wolves are currently down in 14th place, sitting seven points adrift of the playoffs and a further point clear of the drop zone.
