Report: Blackburn Rovers sack Gary Bowyer after poor start to season

Gary Bowyer has reportedly been sacked by Blackburn Rovers just four games into the new Championship season.

Gary Bowyer has been sacked by Blackburn Rovers tonight, according to reports.

Rovers have suffered a disappointing start to the new season and are yet to win in five games.

They started the campaign with a home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers and also lost to Shrewsbury Town in the League Cup.

Today they lost 1-0 away at Brighton & Hove Albion, and The Sun claims that the club has acted by dismissing the 44-year-old, two years after he joined.

Blackburn are currently 22nd in the Championship table.
