Preview: Borussia Dortmund vs. Anderlecht

Sports Mole looks ahead to Anderlecht's trip to Borussia Dortmund in Group D of the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund can clinch top spot in Group D of the Champions League on Tuesday if they avoid defeat at home to Anderlecht.

The Germans have already sealed their place in the next round of the competition, but a defeat could see Arsenal, who are two points behind, leapfrog them and finish as group leaders.

Meanwhile, third-placed Anderlecht make the trip to Signal Iduna Park with a berth in the last 32 of the Europa League already confirmed.

The reverse fixture two months ago saw Dortmund earn a convincing 3-0 win in Belgium as part of their winning start to the campaign, but Jurgen Klopp's side had their 100% record ended two weeks ago with a 2-0 loss at Arsenal.

While much has been made of Dortmund's woeful start to the new Bundesliga season, they picked up a rare victory on the weekend thanks to a 1-0 triumph at home to Hoffenheim. Anderlecht's domestic form has also been shaky in recent weeks, with just one win in their previous five outings.

Marco Reus remains sidelined with an ankle injury for the hosts, who could also be without Jakub Blaszczykowski, Oliver Kirch and Sokratis Papastathopoulos. Bram Nuytinck and Matias Suarez are both missing for the visitors.
