Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong admits that he is struggling for fitness ahead of the trip to Borussia Dortmund this weekend.

Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong has admitted that he may be ruled out of Saturday's match with Borussia Dortmund through injury.

The Dutch striker picked up a hamstring problem in Gladbach's midweek 2-2 draw with Hamburger SV.

De Jong told German publication Express: "I got a nasty kick on my foot against Hamburg.

"It hurts a lot. I do not know if I can play against Dortmund. It would be a shame if I could not play against Dortmund. It is an experience for any footballer."

Gladbach travel to Dortmund this weekend to face the reigning Bundesliga champions.
