Eddie Howe: 'Yann Kermorgant suffering from dead leg'

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe explains that the omission of midweek match-winner Yann Kermorgant from his starting XI to face Fulham is down to a dead leg.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has explained that a dead leg has kept Yann Kermorgant out of his starting XI to play Fulham in the Championship this evening.

The French striker has only been named on the bench at Craven Cottage despite scoring both goals in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Brett Pitman has taken his place up front, and Howe has revealed that an injury almost prevented Kermorgant from making the squad altogether.

Howe told Sky Sports News: "Yann picked up a dead leg against Wolves and was a major doubt for tonight.

"He's done his best to shake it off and is available from the bench if we need him."

Kermorgant, who joined from Charlton Athletic in January 2014, has scored 13 goals in 33 games for Bournemouth this term.
