Bournemouth's Matt Ritchie "50-50" for game against Norwich City

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says that Matt Ritchie is "50/50" for Saturday's match against Norwich City because of a dead leg.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Matt Ritchie is a fitness doubt for Saturday's Premier League game against Norwich City.

The winger suffered a dead leg and needed to be substituted as a result during Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat to West Ham United at the Vitality Stadium.

In Friday's press conference, Howe confirmed the injury and revealed that Tommy Elphick is close to returning to action, but Callum Wilson remains on the sidelines.

"I'd say Matt Ritchie is 50/50 at this stage," Howe told reporters. "It's nothing serious, he got a dead leg against West Ham United so he's a doubt for the game.

"We've got Callum Wilson who is still injured long term but Tommy Elphick has made good progress. He's trained for about 10 days but we want to make sure he's right. We're taking small steps with him but he's getting there."

The Cherries are currently 16th in the Premier League table, three points above the relegation zone.
