Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe determined to not make panic signings

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that he will not be making any panic loan signings as the Cherries chase promotion to the Premier League.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that the club are looking into the possibility of signing players on loan, but insists that they won't be rushing to bring anyone in.

With the Cherries currently top of the Championship, Howe is considering short-term options as his side makes a push for the Premier League in the final 15 games of the season.

"We have made enquiries for players but it is incredibly difficult. It is the most difficult market I have managed in to get players," he told the Daily Echo.

"No club wants to lose players, even if they are part of their squad and haven't really been seen for a while. It is safety in numbers and I understand that. I have the same mentality. You never know how many injuries and suspensions you are going to get and you want to keep those players around you.

"We have made enquires but we haven't got anywhere so we will wait and see. This is one game, [suspended midfielder] Harry Arter will be back in two so we don't want to make any panic signings."

The Cherries are said to be eyeing a move for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray.
