Dunga: 'Neymar good for the Brazilian game'

Brazil boss Dunga says that Neymar's goal in the Champions League final will have a sweeping effect all across the South American country.

Dunga has claimed that Neymar's contribution in Barcelona's recent Champions League triumph can have positive implications for Brazil's national team and the country itself.

The Brazilian hitman scored late on as the Catalans beat Juventus 3-1 in Berlin to seal the treble, having also won La Liga and the Copa del Rey in recent weeks.

However, the Selecao boss is certain that the 23-year-old's exploits will have a ripple effect within the regional game, saying that Neymar already has the next generation dreaming of similar feats.

"I don't think that this is only important for the national team," he told reporters.

"In my opinion this is good for Brazilian football as a whole, having a player scoring in the final and winning the Champions League.

"For Brazil this is very good. As I said before, I was happy to see Barcelona playing that match because it will keep Neymar very motivated, so it was good for us."

Neymar netted 43 goals in all competitions for the Spanish giants last season.
