Gustavo Poyet is calling on his Brighton & Hove Albion players to keep their feet on the ground despite a "dream start."

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gustavo Poyet has called upon his players to remain cool despite producing a "dream start" to the new season.

The Seagulls have a taken ten points from a possible 12 in the Championship and last night knocked Premier League Sunderland out of the Carling Cup after extra-time.

However, despite an unbeaten start to the new season, Poyet has insisted that everybody at the club keeps their feet on the ground.

"The feeling in the dressing room is happiness, but we need to keep things calm," he told the club's official website.

"We've had a dream start so far and every week everything is getting bigger and better. At the same time we can't think we are better than we are and lose our rhythm.

"We need to keep our identity and keep playing how we have been, because that has won us matches so far. Today I believe we defended really well, we made one mistake early but we weren't punished and in the end we were all great."

Next up for Brighton is a home league fixture against fellow promoted side Peterborough United on Saturday.
