Leicester manager Nigel Pearson describes his pride in his side's performance during the Brighton defeat.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson was upbeat after his side's late 1-0 loss at Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Foxes ended the game with just 8 players, after an injury to Nathan Delfouneso added to the dismissals of Neil Danns and Jermaine Beckford.

Despite losing to a stoppage time Will Buckley strike, Pearson was focused on the positives.

He said: "It was a decent game, Brighton got on top in the first half but we also played some good football and had good opportunities.

"It was evenly-poised game and it was cruel on our players to concede so late on.

"But I am proud of how our players went about it. It's a tough place to come, Brighton provide tough opposition and have their own style of football.

"The game was played in a good spirit by two good sides but unfortunately we have been beaten by a very late goal."

Pearson is in his second spell at Leicester, having previously been in charge at the club between 2008 and 2010.
